Market Tote Bag
In a certain town in India, every worker I passed carried this bag. It's made from scraps left over from factories that manufacture tents and awnings, and it seems to be popular due to its low cost and durability.
Many Japanese might be dissatisfied with the uneven perforations from fast stitching, the handles that mix navy and black which are hard to distinguish, and the occasional stains; however, I found a charm in these imperfections that can't be found in brand-new items.
When I inquired about the numbers on the bag, they seemed to indicate its size. I was told, 'From this end to this end is 36,' but I couldn’t really understand the units, and no matter which part I measured, the sizes didn’t seem to match. It’s very Indian, and that’s what makes it interesting. I thought it would be best to sell the product as is, so I decided to purchase it from here.
