Marble

We found a factory that processes marble into flooring and architectural finishes. Easy to shape and capable of taking on a beautiful polish, marble has long been valued as a building material. At the factory, broken pieces that could no longer be used for construction were stacked in large piles.

Formed over countless years by nature, each piece carries its own unique pattern and character. Its polished surface, distinctive veining and surprisingly warm texture soften the hardness often associated with stone.

Rather than heavily reworking the material, we looked for a way to let its natural qualities speak for themselves—giving these offcuts a second life with minimal intervention.
